Do

  1. As Thai people, when greeting each other,  say “Swat Di”.
  2. Thai people often express friendliness by smiling at strangers.
  3. When entering a house or religious building, one should take off his shoes before entering.
  4. Thai people usually call each other by their real names, and when there is friendship, they usually call only the nick name by adding “Khun” to the front to have culture.
  5. Thai people usually eat food using spoons.
  6. Thai people tend to respect elders and important people.
  7. To dress neatly in temples or monuments.
  8. Thai laws should be followed in public places. Being stopped/arrested by the police due to the following actions; It should be avoided because of possible fines.

  1. Thai national organizations; Religions and bad behavior towards the King of Thailand. No insults should be made.
  2.  As Thai people, the head is regarded as a sacred thing and should not be handled or crossed.
  3.  As Thai people, the leg is considered to be something low, pointing with the leg or skipping on others and objects such as food, Books etc. should not be skipped.
  4.  When you go to important places and religious places you can wear culture dress. Don’t wear clothes that don’t match the culture.
  5.  Don’t yell in public when angry – Thai people are generally calm and avoid any confrontation. Shouting and talking loudly should not be done.
  6. In Thailand, pointing the finger at someone is considered very rude . If you have to point someone out, You can indicate by lifting your chin in their direction. When pointing at inanimate objects and animals, it is more civilized to point with your whole hand rather than with just one finger.
  7.  Not to share his ID card or other cards with anyone. It must be stored safely by yourself.
